Who am I?
My father taught at Pendleton High from the time I was seven until after I graduated. I chose Pendleton schools over Clemson’s because I wanted to be part of this community.
I worked in local shops, performed at the Little Theatre, and got involved early — volunteering in local government and even on presidential campaigns before I could vote.
I was proud to be Pendleton’s first longtime exchange student in our sister city, Stornoway, Scotland — where I learned that small towns everywhere share the same hopes and challenges.
Why I’m Running for Pendleton’s Council Seat in Ward 1
Pendleton is at a turning point — and the numbers tell a story we can’t ignore. I’m running because Pendleton should be a place where teachers, nurses, mechanics, waitstaff, and families can afford to live, work, and thrive — not just survive.
Our neighbors and long-time residents are being priced out of their hometown. If we allow unchecked student housing and high-density building, Pendleton risks becoming “Clemson Annex #3” — and losing the heart of what makes us special.
I believe Pendleton deserves a local government that represents everyone and not just some. You deserve someone who asks tough questions and stands up for the people who live here. When decisions are made, they should reflect your voice and our values.
